    Switch off lights and fans before you leave your room. Holds in general for any device u use. Please switch them off when not in use.
    Save Energy!!

    1)When going to sleep.just make sure that all lights in your corridor are out. Many of them remain on till dawn.

    2)witch off gysers and lights in the morning in bathrooms. some just remain on the whole day.

    1.Prevent any sort of water wastage. a leaking tap can siphon off 60 L in an hour . Is there any way to stop water leakage from the pipes near Ch3 going towards C-mess?

    2. Lights and exhaust fans to be switched off in the toilets. even lights in the corridors around 12 in the night

    switching off lights and fans is nice idea as posted by some of our friends for them to follow

    every one knows that!!!

    but still people don't follow because of Indian attitude" Let it go waste when I am not responsible may be water or energy or food in mess.

    switching off corridor light is not that good idea as i guess most of campus is awake during night.

    I suggest

    1.Develop a simple switching mechanism such that Lights and fan turn off when rooms latched from outside for at least people who close their doors while going out

    2.similarly turn on toilet lights only when latched from inside which i think probably every one does without forgetting !!!

    We wouldn't have had anything left if our ancestors never cared to save anything and so a similar fate beholds those who follow...... think!!
    Destruction is easy but constructing back isn't!
    There is little left to sustain everything and being careless about it only worsens the situation!

    I think there should be some more dustbins on the roadways in the campus. And also the ones already existing are *closed* most of the time. So people don't wanna dirty their hands by trying to open them. So they litter the surroundings. So even these bins(The big green ones) should be kept open.

    And regarding the lights thing. The next time you see someone not switch off his/her room's lights/fan when not present, stick a note on his/her door with lots of glue so that scraping it off would piss them off. :P

    @chirag:
    Your observation about dustbins is absolutely true! One way to go about it would be to consider having dustbins with pedal.
    If we all keep reminding each other constantly about switching off lights and fans when not reqd by various techniques(including the one u said ;) )it would slowly become a social habit. This is the need of the hour!

    shut all power in the library- will satisfy 2 things:
    1) Save power
    2) Decrease av.
